Growing up as an American-born kid, I never thought I would be so deeply connected to Japanese culture. But as I got older, I began to realize how much my Japanese heritage has shaped who I am. I'm proud to be a Japanese American and I'm especially proud of one Japanese American in particular: Yuto Horigome.

Yuto Horigome is a professional skateboarder who made history at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics by becoming the first Olympic skateboarding champion. He is one of the most talented and successful skateboarders in the world, and he has won numerous X Games and other major competitions.
