澳門派錢 Makes a Comeback: Free Money for Residents in 2025

Rejoice, Macau residents! The popular 澳門派錢 (Macau Cash Sharing Scheme) is returning in 2025, bringing a welcome windfall for locals.

Permanent residents can expect to receive a generous MOP 10,000 (around USD 1,250), while non-permanent residents will receive MOP 6,000 (approximately USD 750).

This marks the 18th year that Macau has implemented this scheme, which aims to share the city's economic prosperity with its citizens.

The announcement was made by Chief Executive Ho lat Seng in his 2024 policy address. He emphasized the government's commitment to improving the well-being of the people and supporting the city's economic recovery.

The cash handouts are a significant boost for many families and individuals in Macau. They can be used to cover daily expenses, save for the future, or invest in small businesses.

Last year, about 748,000 people benefited from the 澳門派錢 program, with a total of MOP 7.48 billion (USD 940 million) distributed.

The eligibility criteria for the program are relatively straightforward. Permanent residents who have resided in Macau for at least 183 days in the preceding year are eligible for the full amount.

Non-permanent residents who have lived in Macau for at least 183 days in the preceding year and meet specific income requirements are also eligible for the cash handout.

The 澳門派錢 scheme has been widely welcomed by Macau residents and has contributed to the city's overall economic well-being.

In addition to the cash handouts, the government has also announced various other measures to support the economy and improve the lives of citizens.

These include increasing healthcare subsidies, providing tax breaks for businesses, and investing in infrastructure projects.

With the return of the 澳門派錢 scheme and the government's continued commitment to economic recovery, 2025 promises to be a positive year for Macau and its residents.
