Last year, my daughter went to primary Four and was very interested in the school's essay contest. After the teacher announced the topic, she came home and told me she wanted to take part in it. I was surprised: "You?" I asked her, "Can you write an essay contest?" She said, "Mom, I must be able to write well!"
My daughter has been very assertive since she was a child. If she makes up her mind on something, you can't stop her. She will try her best and will not give up easily. Since she wanted to write, I supported her. I just wondered if she would succeed.
In order to help her daughter win the championship, the daughter began to plan. She read the requirements of the competition and got some information from the Internet. When I saw she was so busy, I asked her, "Is your head going to explode?" My daughter said, "Mom, I must do my best!"
With the encouragement of her mother, her daughter began to write the draft. After writing, she began to revise. She would delete a few sentences today, and add a few sentences tomorrow. Occasionally, she would show me her essay and asked me to give her opinions.
At the end of her work, her daughter had written a lot of drafts. The daughter decided to pick out three to submit to the teacher. One week later, the results of the competition came out and she got second place!
I was so happy that I hugged her tightly and said, "My dear, congratulations!" My daughter smiled and said, "Mom, I told you I can write well!"
My daughter's success was a result of her diligence and perseverance. She didn't give up easily, and I believe that she will succeed in the future.
