Soccer-Leicester Fan Charged With Assault After Forest Incident
FA Cup - Fourth Round - Nottingham Forest v Leicester City
(Reuters) - A Leicester City fan who was captured for conflicting with Nottingham Forest players during their FA Cup fourth-round game at the end of the week has been accused of numerous counts of attack, Nottinghamshire Police said on Monday.
Cameron Toner, 19, ran onto the pitch and assaulted Forest players while they were praising their third objective in a shock 4-1 win over the holders at the City Ground on Sunday.
"(Toner) has been accused of three counts of normal attack and going onto a playing region at a football match," the police said in an assertion.
"He has been delivered on restrictive bail, including a condition not to go to any football arena on the date of any live football match."
Leicester censured the occurrence and gave a lifetime boycott to Toner, who will show up at the Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Feb. 24.
