10-year-old stabbed in NSW

A 10-year-old girl has been stabbed at a primary school in New South Wales (NSW), Australia, on Wednesday, August 24th, 2023.
The incident occurred around 9am at a school in Sydney's west. The girl was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
It is believed the girl was stabbed with a pair of scissors by another student.
A 11-year-old boy has been arrested and charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The boy appeared in a children's court and was granted bail.
The incident has shocked the local community.

The school has been closed for the day and counselling is being offered to students and staff.
