KUCHING, Aug 21 — Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Openg today scrutinized the reasoning behind the choice by the National Sports Council (NSC) to drop taekwondo from the following month's Malaysia Games (Sukma).
He asked the Ministry of Youth and Sports to audit the public approach on taekwondo, very much like football, silat and darts.
"Taekwondo should be recorded (in the approaching Sukma) and there must constantly be consistency to incorporate the occasion," he said at the end of the Premier of Sarawak Borneo Sup International Taekwondo (WTF) Championship 2022 which pulled in around 800 competitors and authorities from 18 nations.
