Flag Day For Wisconsin Volleyball Brings Mixed Emotions For Stars Who Delivered The Title
Dana Rettke was quiet at around 7:15 p.M. Friday night, yet she realized that was going to change.

The function regarding Rettke and the remainder of the 2021 University of Wisconsin volleyball public title group was planned to start in a short time, and from that point onward, she'd move to her seat at the UW Field House and watch the No. 6 Badgers take on No. 24 Marquette. 사설토토

Rettke hadn't watched a UW match from the stands since she was an enroll, and the five-time All-American and ruling public player of the year didn't know how she planned to feel about being an observer.

"The present moment, I'm great since it's tomfoolery seeing everyone," Rettke said. "In any case, I will be crying the entire day once the match begins."

Priorities straight, there was the question of gathering a title ring. The expression all over was invaluable when it was given to her by UW athletic chief Chris McIntosh, a balance of appreciation and mistrust hitting Rettke simultaneously.

She wasn't the only one feeling as such. It's been almost nine months since UW outlived Nebraska in a five-set title thrill ride in Columbus, Ohio, a triumph that covered a 31-3 season and secured the program's most memorable public title after the Badgers had thumped on the entryway on different occasions.

For some's purposes, it seems like yesterday. For other people, it appears to be a lifetime prior. The dreamlike reality that they're really public heroes hit them at various times as they continued on with their bustling own personal business.

"I feel like it took a smidgen since it was somewhat shock from the get go," previous star setter Sydney Hilley said. "Like, 'Amazing, we truly did this,' since it was something we'd imagined about for such a long time. And afterward for it to at last be a reality, it was like, 'Stand by, this is genuine.' But it's certainly soaked in and I'm simply so pleased with it."

Previous champion libero Lauren Barnes will see a photograph or video cut on Twitter and respite to pause and rest.

"It's sort of still that 'amazing' factor," Barnes said, "of we truly did that."

Barnes is living in Milwaukee and working in finance. Hilley played in Puerto Rico however recognized her playing days might be finished; she enveloped up her graduate degree by biotechnology and she might want to work in that field while doing some training. One more individual from that hair-raising senior class, Grace Loberg, filled in as a Big Ten Network examiner for the match Friday.

Rettke, who is playing expertly in Italy and preparing with the U.S. Ladies' National Team, moved into town Thursday and shocked previous colleague Danielle Hart by appearing on her back patio, carrying the Badgers senior center blocker to tears.

The pack was back together, and they could never have been more joyful.

"Simply being here and seeing all my old partners, it as of now brings back such countless feelings," Hilley said. "Praising the public title, that will be unbelievable."

The previous players visited the UW storage space and saw something recognizable and a novel, new thing. The wall respecting the Badgers' Big Ten title groups had been refreshed, while one more wall had another element: a rundown of public titles, which remains at one … for the present.

"It's a standard now," Hilley said, "and I'm truly anticipating every one of the groups later on that will be up on that wall."
