Proposed Amendments to REICT (2016) Trust Deed

To restore election clauses that were removed in 2016, REICT posted proposed Trust Deed amendments on the Masjid notice boards.

The Rondebosch East lslamic Community Trust IT 5129/97 ("REICT") hereby gives notice of the proposed amendments to the current REICT Trust Deed.

1.   Number of trustees

1. There shall be a minimum of 10 trustees at all times comprising a minimum of 8 Community Trustees (as defined below in 4) and a maximum of 2 Outside Trustees (as defined below in 4).
2. Any vacancies arising on the board of trustees shall be filled by any eligible person (as defined below in 4) appointed by the remaining trustees by consensus (Mashura), failing which by simple majority decision.
