"We played them better," Wheeler said. "We two or three missteps. My sophomore pitcher that came in, she has a long way to go. She did an incredibly, great job for us, yet not having a year ago, there are a few circumstances that we're developing with this year. Each time she tosses she gets somewhat more grounded. Wheeler gave enthusiastic hugs to her five seniors — Kaitlyn Anders, Rilee Kirby, Kennedy Hirst, Ashton Hirst and Chloe Calhoun — after the game finished.
"The pitiful part is those five seniors held up quite a while to have the option to take the field," Wheeler said. "They're incredible individuals. They're not simply acceptable ballplayers, they're generally excellent individuals. So I'm glad for them."
The Lady Wildcats, in the interim, commended the continuation of their ideal season and the expansion of some postseason equipment, alongside their mentor's achievement.
"Everyone says we're family, yet we really mean it," Rhine said. "Like, everyone adores one another. We pick each other up when we're down. Furthermore, it's without fail. It's something ordinary. We appear each day and we complete it."
The ride proceeds with Tuesday with a possibility for Neal to add to her success absolute.
"I'm glad to be here and I feel honored each day that I will work with these young women," Neal said prior to giving her own enthusiastic discourse to her group. "I anticipate each day being with them. They mean a great deal to me."
