Aaron Woods
Aaron Woods is an American football player who plays offensive guard for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Mississippi State University and was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the first round (19th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft. Woods went to Alabama State High School in Citronelle, Alabama, where he was a member of the football team. He also played basketball and ran track. He was rated as a four-star recruit by ESPN and chose Mississippi State University over Alabama, Auburn, and Florida.
Woods started 34 of 36 games at left guard for the Bulldogs and was named second-team All-SEC in 2013. He was a member of the 2014 Senior Bowl and was named to the All-Senior Bowl team. Woods was drafted by the Buffalo Bills with the 19th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. He started 11 games as a rookie and was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team. Woods started all 16 games in 2015 and was named to the Pro Bowl. He started all 16 games in 2016 and was named a second-team All-Pro.
Woods signed a five-year, $44 million contract extension with the Bills in 2017. He started all 16 games in 2017 and was named to the Pro Bowl for the second time. Woods started all 16 games in 2018 and was named a first-team All-Pro. He started all 16 games in 2019 and was named to the Pro Bowl for the third time. Woods was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2021 for a fifth-round pick.
Woods is a three-time Pro Bowl selection and a two-time All-Pro selection. He is one of the best offensive guards in the NFL.
Personal life
Woods is married to his high school sweetheart, Erica. They have two children together. Woods is a devout Christian and is involved in several charitable organizations. He is also a member of the Mississippi State University Board of Trustees.
