Cole Wilder

Hello Everyone!

1. My name is Cole Wilder

2. I was born on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, a tiny town called Nassawaddox, Virginia.  I lived briefly in Giles County and then spent the rest of my childhood in Wytheville, Virginia.

3. My favorite subjects in school were history and science

4. One of my biggest personal accomplishments was in 2009 when I was a member of the Radford basketball team which won the Big South Tournament and advanced to the NCAA tournament.

5. If I could save one object from my house it would probably be a collection of scrapbooks I have from my entire life.

6. I honestly cannot name one music album, but would say I would pick some Jay-Z.  I think his music is very unique.

7. I am studying education in graduate school because I enjoy learning about teaching!  I am especially looking forward to this class as evaluation of student learning is an area I think I can improve in.  Also, the pay scale bump is also a reason, haha!

8. I am entering my 5th year as a 7th grade teacher this year at James Madison MS in Roanoke, VA.  I have previously only taught history, but will be switching to all English this year.

9.  10 years from now I hope to have children as well as be a homeowner and financially stable.  I also hope that my wife and I have careers we both enjoy.  I hope that I still have the passion for teaching that I do now!
