Adolpho Mokhorov, the Boy Who Saw Ghosts

Adolpho Mokhorov was a curious boy who loved to explore. One day, while wandering through the woods behind his house, he came across an old abandoned cabin. The windows were boarded up and the roof was caved in, but Adolpho was intrigued. He pushed open the door and stepped inside.
The cabin was dark and dusty, but Adolpho could make out the shapes of furniture and a large fireplace. He could also hear strange noises coming from the back of the cabin. He took a deep breath and walked towards the sound.
As he got closer, he saw a group of ghosts sitting around a table. They were all dressed in old-fashioned clothes and they had pale, sickly faces. Adolpho stopped in his tracks. He was too scared to move.
The ghosts looked up at Adolpho and smiled. "Hello," one of them said. "We're so glad you could join us."
Adolpho didn't know what to say. He just stared at the ghosts in disbelief.
"Don't be afraid," the ghost said. "We're not here to hurt you. We just want to talk."
Adolpho took a deep breath. "Okay," he said. "What do you want to talk about?"
The ghosts smiled. "We want to tell you about our lives," they said. "We want you to know that we were once people just like you. We had families and friends. We loved and we laughed. But then we died."
Adolpho listened to the ghosts' stories. He learned about their lives, their loves, and their losses. He felt sorry for them, but he also knew that they were at peace now.
When the ghosts were finished talking, they thanked Adolpho for listening. "We're glad we could share our stories with you," they said. "Now it's time for you to go."
Adolpho nodded. He turned and walked out of the cabin. As he walked away, he could hear the ghosts singing a song.
Adolpho never told anyone about what he had seen in the cabin. He knew that they wouldn't believe him. But he also knew that he would never forget the ghosts and their stories.
Adolpho Mokhorov grew up to be a kind and compassionate man. He always helped those in need, and he never forgot the ghosts who had shared their stories with him.
One day, Adolpho was visiting the old cabin when he saw a group of children playing in the woods. He smiled and walked over to them.
"Hello," he said. "My name is Adolpho Mokhorov. What are you doing?"
The children looked up at Adolpho and smiled. "We're playing," one of them said. "We're pretending to be ghosts."
Adolpho laughed. "That's a great idea," he said. "I used to play that game when I was a child."
The children looked at Adolpho in surprise. "Really?" one of them asked. "Did you ever see any real ghosts?"
Adolpho smiled. "Yes," he said. "I did."
The children gasped. "Wow!" they said. "Tell us about them."
Adolpho sat down on the ground and told the children the story of the ghosts in the cabin. The children listened in awe.
When Adolpho was finished, the children thanked him for sharing his story. "That was amazing," one of them said. "We'll never forget it."
Adolpho smiled. "I'm glad," he said. "Now, run along and play. And remember, even though you can't see them, there are ghosts all around us. They're watching over us and protecting us."
The children nodded and ran off to play. Adolpho watched them go, and he smiled. He knew that the children would never forget the story of the ghosts in the cabin. And he knew that the ghosts would never forget the boy who had shared their stories with the world.
