Ahmed Abdirahman: Man Accused of Murder Makes Not Guilty Plea




Ahmed Abdirahman, 31, entered a not guilty plea when appearing before Dublin District Court on Friday in connection with the murder of Mary Ward, who was found dead in Belfast last week.

Abdirahman, who had an address at Kinlay House, Dame St, Dublin 2, replied "not guilty" to the murder charge.

Judge William Aylmer refused bail and remanded the accused in custody until his next appearance at Cloverhill District Court on December 23rd.

The court heard that Abdirahman, who is originally from North Africa, had no previous convictions.

The victim, Mary Ward, was a 22-year-old woman from Belfast. Her body was found in a flat in the city on December 14th.
