Alaaudeen Borkhart: The Boy Who Cried Pie

If you've ever heard the phrase "the boy who cried wolf," you know it's about someone who lies so often that people stop believing them. Well, Alaaudeen Borkhart was the boy who cried pie.
It all started when Alaaudeen was just a little kid. He loved pie more than anything in the world, and he would often beg his mom to make it for him. One day, she finally gave in and made him a beautiful apple pie. Alaaudeen was so excited that he couldn't wait to eat it. But then, just as he was about to take a bite, the doorbell rang.
Alaaudeen's mom went to answer the door, and Alaaudeen heard her gasp. "Oh my gosh, Alaaudeen!" she cried. "Your pie is on fire!"
Alaaudeen ran to the kitchen and saw that it was true. The pie was completely engulfed in flames. Alaaudeen started to cry. He had been so excited to eat that pie, and now it was gone.
Alaaudeen's mom tried to comfort him, but he was inconsolable. He cried and cried until he finally fell asleep.
The next morning, Alaaudeen woke up and went to the kitchen. He was surprised to see that the pie was still there, and it wasn't burnt at all. Alaaudeen was so happy that he started to cry again.
"What's going on, Alaaudeen?" his mom asked.
"The pie!" Alaaudeen cried. "It's not burnt!"
Alaaudeen's mom laughed. "I know, honey. I put it in the oven for you last night."
Alaaudeen was so relieved. He had been so worried that he would never get to eat that pie. He hugged his mom and thanked her for making it for him.
Alaaudeen ate that pie every day for the next week. He loved it so much that he didn't want to share it with anyone. But one day, his friend came over and asked if he could have a piece. Alaaudeen hesitated for a moment, but then he decided to give his friend a piece.
Alaaudeen's friend took a bite of the pie and his eyes lit up. "This is the best pie I've ever had!" he said. "What's your secret?"
Alaaudeen smiled. "It's a secret family recipe," he said.
Alaaudeen's friend ate the rest of the pie and then he went home. Alaaudeen was glad that he had shared the pie with his friend, but he was also a little sad to see it go.
Alaaudeen's mom saw the look on his face and she said, "Don't worry, Alaaudeen. I'll make you another pie tomorrow."
Alaaudeen smiled. He knew that he was a lucky boy to have such a wonderful mom.
