Alazne Ropeter was a good girl. She always did her homework, she never talked back to her parents, and she was always kind to her friends. But there was one thing that Alazne couldn't do: she couldn't keep a secret.
It wasn't that Alazne didn't want to keep secrets. She just couldn't help herself. As soon as she heard a secret, it was like a bee buzzing in her head. She couldn't think about anything else until she told someone else.
Alazne's friends used to tease her about it. They would tell her secrets and then watch her squirm as she tried not to burst out with them.
"You're like a walking billboard for secrets," one of her friends said. "Everyone knows not to tell you anything important."
Alazne didn't mind her friends' teasing. She knew that they still loved her, even if she was a terrible secret keeper.
One day, Alazne's friend, Maria, told her a secret that she really shouldn't have. Maria was pregnant, and she hadn't told her parents yet.
Alazne was sworn to secrecy, but she couldn't keep it in. The next day, she told her other friend, Alice, about Maria's pregnancy.
Alice was shocked. She couldn't believe that Maria had told Alazne something so personal.
"You can't tell anyone else," Alice said. "This is serious."
Alazne promised that she wouldn't, but it was too late. The damage had been done.
The next day, Maria's parents found out about her pregnancy. They were furious that she hadn't told them sooner.
Maria was so upset that she broke down in tears. She told her parents that she had told Alazne in confidence, and Alazne had broken her promise.
Alazne's parents were also angry. They grounded her for a month and made her apologize to Maria.
Alazne was so ashamed of what she had done. She had lost Maria's trust, and she had hurt her friends.
Alazne vowed to never break a secret again. She knew that she had to earn back the trust of her friends, and she was determined to do it.
A few weeks later, Alazne was walking home from school when she saw a group of boys picking on a smaller boy. Alazne knew that she had to do something, but she was afraid.
Alazne took a deep breath and walked up to the group of boys. She told them to stop picking on the smaller boy, and she even stood up to them when they tried to intimidate her.
The bullies were so surprised that they backed down and left the smaller boy alone.
Alazne was so proud of herself for standing up for what was right. She realized that she had found a way to use her secret-keeping habit for good.
Alazne never broke a secret again. She used her ability to keep secrets to help people, and she became known as the girl who could keep a secret, even when it was hard.
