Ronaldo's goal came in the 33rd minute, when he converted a penalty kick after being fouled inside the box. The Portuguese superstar's strike was his 10th goal in the league this season, and it set the tone for a dominant performance by Al-Nassr.
Al-Ettifaq tried to respond in the second half, but they were unable to create any clear-cut chances. Talisca extended Al-Nassr's lead in the 70th minute, finishing off a brilliant team move. Al-Najdi then made it 3-0 in the 82nd minute, sealing the victory for the league leaders.
Al-Nassr's victory sees them extend their lead at the top of the table to seven points. Al-Ettifaq, on the other hand, remain in seventh place.
"We played a very good match," said Al-Nassr coach Rudi Garcia. "We controlled the tempo of the game and created many chances. I am very happy with the performance of my players."
"We are disappointed with the result," said Al-Ettifaq coach Pablo Machín. "We tried to play our game, but we were unable to create any clear-cut chances. We need to learn from our mistakes and improve in the next game."
