Alex Albon




Alex Albon is a Thai-British racing driver who competes in Formula One for Williams Racing. He previously drove for Scuderia Toro Rosso, Red Bull Racing, and Williams Racing.
Albon was born in London, England, to a Thai father and an English mother. He began his karting career at the age of eight and won several championships before moving to single-seaters in 2012. He won the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 championship in 2014 and the FIA Formula 3 European Championship in 2016.
Albon made his Formula One debut with Toro Rosso in 2019, replacing Brendon Hartley. He scored points in his first race and finished the season in 12th place in the drivers' championship. He was promoted to Red Bull Racing for the 2020 season, replacing Pierre Gasly. He finished the season in 7th place in the drivers' championship, scoring two podiums.
Albon was dropped by Red Bull Racing at the end of the 2020 season and returned to Williams Racing, where he had previously driven in 2019. He finished the 2021 season in 18th place in the drivers' championship, scoring no points.
