Alex Yee

Is Alex Yee the best triathlete in Britain? Maybe even the world? The 24-year-old has had an incredible year so far, winning gold in the World Triathlon Series in Leeds. He also came second in the Commonwealth Games, and became the first British man to win an Olympic medal in the triathlon.

From being bullied at school for his weight, Yee battled with body image issues and eating disorders. Now he says that he uses his platform to help others with eating disorders, who are struggling with body image issues and eating disorders.

Yee's journey to the top of the triathlon world has been far from easy. He was born with a rare condition called craniosynostosis, which meant that his skull didn't fuse properly. This caused him to have a number of operations as a child, and he was left with a large scar on his head.

  • Yee says that the scar is a reminder of his struggles, but it also makes him proud of what he has achieved.
  • “It's a part of me, and it's something that I'm proud of,” he says.
  • “It's a reminder of how far I've come, and it makes me appreciate the things that I have.”
Yee's determination and resilience are an inspiration to us all. He is a role model for anyone who has ever been told that they can't achieve their dreams. Yee's story shows us that anything is possible if we set our minds to it.
