Climate Change in the Lower Eastern States

Warning-This is a opinion based inference on what will happen to the South Eastern States in certain time period.

The lower states in the eastern part of the united states are generally lower in elevation. If water levels rise, in theory, the lower parts of the states of Louisiana and Florida could lose land to ocean. Also some small islands in the gulf will be lost to high water. Storm surges would also be a factor if the water rises. The water levels would rise becuase of icecaps melting due to climate change. Higher temperatures would also lead to high humidity and rain in the lower states. The storms would cause falsh flooding and dumping of toxic chemicals into the water leading to loss of fish and other ocean life. This could be terrible for Lousiana as there economy is somewhat centered around fish and other water life. The rest of the states in the corridor could face larger storm and higher humidity but i wouldn't be nearly as destructive. The water front communities are really at risk.

The states in context are in red below.
