Amihan Season: A Personal Reflection on the Northeast Monsoon's Arrival
For many Filipinos, the Amihan season marks a welcome respite from the sweltering summer months. As the northeast monsoon blows in from the Pacific Ocean, it brings with it cooler temperatures and a refreshing change of pace. Personally, I find this season to be a time for reflection and rejuvenation.
The Amihan season is characterized by strong winds, which can make it a bit chilly at times. But for me, the cooler weather is a relief after the long, hot days of summer. It's a time when I can finally wear my cozy sweaters and enjoy a hot cup of coffee without sweating up a storm.
The strong winds also bring with them the smell of the ocean, which always fills me with a sense of peace and tranquility. I love taking walks on the beach during this season, feeling the wind whip my hair around and the sand beneath my feet. It's a simple pleasure, but it always brings a smile to my face.
Another thing I love about the Amihan season is the change in scenery. The trees start to lose their leaves, revealing the intricate branches that were hidden all summer. The fields and hillsides turn a beautiful golden brown, creating a stunning landscape. It's a time of year that reminds me of the beauty of nature and the changing seasons.
Of course, the Amihan season isn't always perfect. There are days when the wind is so strong that it's hard to walk outside. And there are times when the cold can be a bit too much to bear. But even on those days, I can't help but appreciate the beauty of the season.
The Amihan season is a time of change and transition. It's a time to reflect on the past and look forward to the future. It's a time to appreciate the beauty of nature and the simple pleasures of life. And for me, it's a time to find peace and tranquility in the midst of the chaos.
As the Amihan season comes to an end, I will cherish the memories I've made and the lessons I've learned. And I will look forward to the next Amihan season, when I can once again experience the beauty of this special time of year.
