Annabel Croft




Annabel Croft is a former British professional tennis player who won the French Open mixed doubles title in 1981 and reached a career-high singles ranking of 24 in the world. She is now a tennis commentator for the BBC and ITV.
Croft was born in Leicester, England, in 1966. She began playing tennis at the age of six and quickly showed promise. She won the Wimbledon junior singles title in 1984 and turned professional the following year.

I have always been a huge fan of Annabel Croft. I remember watching her play on television when I was a child and being inspired by her skill and determination. She is a true ambassador for the sport of tennis and has done so much to promote it at all levels.
I had the pleasure of meeting Annabel Croft at a tennis event a few years ago. She was incredibly gracious and took the time to talk to me about her career and her passion for tennis. I was struck by her intelligence and her love of the game.
