Another Marine Parade flood

The unexpected happened again - _Marine Parade_ was flooded once more on Friday (Oct 4) following a damaged water pipe. The incident led to flooding in areas around Marine Drive and Still Road South.
It seems like just yesterday that the area was hit by a similar incident. In fact, this is the second time flooding has occurred in _Marine Parade_ within the past nine years. Residents and motorists were forced to wade through ankle-deep waters, causing inconvenience and frustration.
This recent incident has left many wondering if the area is prone to flooding and what measures can be taken to prevent it from happening again. While heavy rainfall can contribute to flooding, it's essential to address any underlying issues that may be making _Marine Parade_ more susceptible to this problem.
Flooding, especially in urban areas, can cause significant damage to property and infrastructure. It can also pose health risks and disrupt daily life for residents.
We should take steps to improve drainage systems, implement flood control measures, and promote responsible land-use planning to mitigate the risks of flooding in the future.
