As ANZ's new Chief Executive Officer, I'm thrilled to share my journey to this pivotal moment, filled with personal reflections, challenges, and unwavering determination. With a diverse background spanning the financial industry, I'm eager to contribute my experiences and vision to ANZ's future.

My journey began in the vibrant streets of Lisbon, Portugal, where I witnessed firsthand the transformative power of innovation and adaptability in the financial sector. After completing my studies in economics, I embarked on a global adventure, working in London and Geneva, where I honed my skills in investment banking and private equity.

In 2006, I joined HSBC, where I spent 17 years navigating the complexities of the global financial landscape. From leading the retail banking division in Hong Kong to overseeing wealth and personal banking across Asia-Pacific, I gained invaluable insights into the changing needs of customers and the evolving regulatory environment.

Throughout my career, I've learned that true leadership is about fostering collaboration, empowering teams, and creating an inclusive workplace where diverse perspectives are valued. I believe that by unlocking the potential of our people, we can drive innovation, enhance customer experiences, and achieve sustainable growth for ANZ.
