Mother's Day is now commercialised to the extent that I doubt it's still a genuine celebration of the love and appreciation that mothers truly deserve.
Of course, there are still those who take the time to make this day special for their mothers. But for many, it's just another holiday, another excuse to spend money. Flowers, chocolates, gift cards - these are all nice gestures, but they don't really mean anything if they're not accompanied by genuine love and appreciation.
