Born and raised in Kenya, Athman was a man of many talents and passions. He was a gifted athlete, a talented musician, and a dedicated scholar. He had a deep love for his family and friends and always put their needs before his own. He also had a strong sense of justice and fairness and was always willing to stand up for those who were less fortunate.
Athman was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in 2022 and fought bravely against the disease. He underwent several surgeries and treatments, but the cancer was relentless. Despite his illness, he never lost his spirit and continued to live life to the fullest.
Rest in peace, Athman. You will be forever loved and missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Athman Mutunga Memorial Fund. This fund will be used to support cancer research and to help other families who are facing the challenges of cancer.
