AUS vs PAK: Australia Clean Sweep Pakistan in T20I Series

Australia's dominance in T20 cricket continued as they completed a comprehensive 3-0 series sweep over Pakistan in a thrilling encounter played in front of a passionate crowd in Hobart.
The match was set alight in the first innings when the Pakistan top order crumbled under the pressure of Australia's relentless bowling attack. Left-arm spinner Ashton Agar and fast bowler Nathan Ellis worked their magic, picking up four wickets between them, reducing Pakistan to a precarious 34 for 5.
Pakistan's resurgence was spearheaded by the experienced Babar Azam, who played a captain's knock, scoring 41 runs off 31 deliveries. The right-hander found support from Khushdil Shah, and together they forged a 50-run partnership, providing a glimmer of hope for Pakistan. However, their efforts were cut short when Babar mistimed a pull shot, giving Marcus Stoinis an easy catch at midwicket.
The Pakistan innings eventually ended on 117, with Haris Rauf's quickfire 19 off 10 balls adding some respectability to their total. For Australia, Ashton Agar and Nathan Ellis shared seven wickets between them, while Cameron Green and Marcus Stoinis picked up a wicket each.
In reply, Australia's openers David Warner and Travis Head provided a solid start, putting on 35 runs before Warner was dismissed for 17. Head continued to impress, scoring 27 runs before falling to Mohammad Wasim Jr.
Marcus Stoinis, who has been in sensational form in recent T20 matches, then took center stage, smashing an unbeaten 61 off just 37 deliveries. The right-hander hit three towering sixes and four boundaries, dismantling the Pakistan bowling attack with ease. He was well supported by Ben McDermott, who contributed an unbeaten 27, ensuring Australia cruised to victory with 52 balls remaining.
Pakistan's leading wicket-taker was Mohammad Wasim Jr., who picked up two wickets, while Haris Rauf and Shadab Khan managed one wicket each.
With this victory, Australia has not only extended their impressive winning streak in T20 internationals to 10 matches but have also avenged their recent ODI series loss against Pakistan. The Aussies will now turn their attention to the upcoming Test series, which starts on March 3rd in Rawalpindi.
Pakistan, on the other hand, will be disappointed with their performance in the T20I series, but they will take heart from the fact that they managed to win the ODI series just a few weeks ago. They will now be looking to regroup and come back stronger in the Test series.
