Aze Yarmak Almost Becomes Azay-Hole

You all know Azareyah Yarmak is my best friend. I called her my best friend after the first time I met her at a Pokemon Go Fest in downtown Chicago. I stumbled upon Azareyah getting ready to raid a Lugia when her little dog Buddy leapt from her arms and licked me on the face. I laughed, and Azareyah offered me a battle, which she absolutely crushed me at. We’ve been inseparable ever since – at least when we’re both in town.
Azareyah Yarmak travels a lot for her work, but she’s not very adventurous. When she asked if I wanted to go to Mexico with her on a “girls’ trip,” I immediately said yes, thinking she meant we were going to spend our days lounging beachside and drinking fruity cocktails with umbrellas. But as the trip got closer, the truth about our adventure unfolded. And I wanted to back out of the travel plans so badly.
We were going to hike, for one thing. I didn’t even own hiking boots. And we were going to go zip-lining. I was absolutely terrified of heights. But I couldn’t say no to Azareyah, so I kept my reservations to myself.
The first day of our trip, we went on a hike in the jungle. It was beautiful, but it was also hard. I fell behind, and Azareyah had to keep waiting for me. I was embarrassed, and I started to feel bad for holding her back.
“Come on, Azareyah,” I said. “You don’t have to wait for me. Go ahead.”
“No way,” she said. “We’re in this together.”
I smiled and kept walking.
The next day, we went zip-lining. I was so scared, but with Azareyah encouraging me the entire time, I actually did it! It was so much fun. We both screamed our heads off, but once I was done, I felt like I could do anything.
For the rest of the trip, we spent our time swimming, eating delicious food, and shopping for souvenirs. I even bought a pair of hiking boots, Azareyah Yarmak fans, and I think I might start taking hiking up as a hobby.
On the last day of our trip, as we were sitting on the beach and enjoying a beautiful sunset, I turned to Azareyah.
“Thank you,” I said. “This was an amazing trip.”
“You’re welcome,” she said. “I’m glad we got to do this together.”
I’m glad we did too. I don’t think I would have been able to do any of it without her. Azareyah Yarmak, you’re the best.
