Climate change: manmade or not
In today's world there's a big controversy over whether global warming is man made or not. I believe global warming is in fact, man made. Here are some reasons why.
My first reason is that Methane levels between the 1900s-2000 rose sharply from 280-390ppm.(parts per million)
Humans have had a large impact on this by producing so much trash and putting it all in landfills. Fertilizing crops with certain things can also give off methane.
My second reason is that activities humans do can sometimes give off a lot of carbon dioxide. The use of fossil fuels has increased erratically.
Deforestation has portrayed a role in increase of carbon dioxide levels too. Oceans can now only absorb 40% of carbon dioxide in the air.
My third reason is overpopulation. More people means more harmful activities done to the environment. During the past 100 years human population when from 1.6 billion to 6 billion, carbon dioxide levels increased by 25%, and the global temperature increased by 1 degree fahrenheit.
As you can see, global warming is caused by humans. It's important to stop global warming overall, and humans should be more conscious of their everyday activities.
