Balavan Avrech: The Boy Who Couldn't Sleep
Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Balavan Avrech who couldn't sleep. He would toss and turn all night long, but no matter what he did, he just couldn't fall asleep.
One night, Balavan's parents decided to take him to see a doctor. The doctor examined Balavan and said, "Balavan, you have insomnia. This means that you have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep."
The doctor gave Balavan a prescription for some medicine that would help him sleep. Balavan took the medicine, but it didn't help. He still couldn't sleep.
Balavan was starting to get really frustrated. He didn't know what to do. He was so tired, but he just couldn't fall asleep.
One day, Balavan was talking to his friend, Anya. Anya told him about a book she had read about a boy who couldn't sleep. The book said that the boy had been able to fall asleep by counting sheep.
Balavan decided to try counting sheep. He lay in bed and started counting. One sheep, two sheep, three sheep...
Balavan counted all the way to one hundred sheep, but he still couldn't fall asleep. He was about to give up when he had an idea.
Balavan started counting sheep backwards. One hundred sheep, ninety-nine sheep, ninety-eight sheep...
Balavan counted all the way to one sheep, and finally, he fell asleep.
Balavan woke up the next morning feeling refreshed and well-rested. He was so happy that he had finally found a way to fall asleep.
Balavan told his parents and the doctor about how he had fallen asleep. The doctor was very impressed. He said that Balavan had found a very effective way to manage his insomnia.
Balavan continued to count sheep backwards every night before bed. He always fell asleep quickly and easily.
Balavan never had trouble sleeping again. He was a happy, well-rested little boy.
