Bears game: A wild finish

Once again, the Chicago Bears found a way to lose a game they should have won. In a wild finish to their Week 8 matchup against the Washington Commanders, the Bears allowed a 52-yard, game-winning touchdown pass as time expired.

The Bears had a 14-point lead in the fourth quarter, but they allowed the Commanders to score two touchdowns in the final 2:40 to take the lead. The Bears then had a chance to win the game with a field goal as time expired, but kicker Cairo Santos missed a 52-yard attempt.

The loss is a tough one for the Bears, who are now 4-4 on the season. They have a tough schedule ahead of them, and they will need to start winning games if they want to make the playoffs.

Here are some highlights from the game:

  • Justin Fields had a strong game, passing for 258 yards and two touchdowns.
  • David Montgomery rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown.
  • The Bears defense forced three turnovers, including two interceptions.
  • The Commanders were led by quarterback Taylor Heinicke, who threw for 320 yards and two touchdowns.

The Bears will look to rebound next week when they host the Minnesota Vikings.
