Beasteater face chemical burn

Who does not like to have a nice cold ice cream on a hot summer day? It soothes you and your taste buds and leaves you with a great feeling. But what if you get chemical burn from that ice cream? Well that's what happened to this girl.
Two weeks ago, an eight-year-old girl suffered chemical burns to her face and mouth after eating an ice cream in Singapore.
The girl's mother said her daughter ate the ice cream and immediately started screaming in pain. She then noticed blisters forming on her daughter's face and mouth.
The girl was taken to the hospital, where she was treated for chemical burns. She is now recovering at home.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) said it is investigating the incident.
MOH said in a statement that it is "aware of the incident involving an eight-year-old girl who suffered chemical burns to her face and mouth after eating an ice cream."
"MOH is investigating the incident and working with the relevant agencies to determine the cause of the burns," the statement said.
MOH advised the public to be careful when eating ice cream, especially if it is from an unfamiliar source.
"If you experience any discomfort or pain after eating ice cream, please seek medical attention immediately," the statement said.
This is a very unfortunate incident. Ice cream is supposed to be a treat, not a hazard. We hope that the girl makes a full recovery and that the MOH is able to determine the cause of the burns so that this does not happen again.
In the meantime, please be careful when eating ice cream, especially if it is from an unfamiliar source. If you experience any discomfort or pain after eating ice cream, please seek medical attention immediately.
