Bethanni Kristancic's Hilarious Attempt to Bake a Cake for Her Boss

It was Bethanni Kristancic's first day as an intern at the prestigious law firm of Smith, Jones, and Associates. To impress her boss, Mr. Smith, she decided to bake him a cake.

Now, Bethanni was not exactly known for her culinary skills. In fact, the closest she had ever come to baking was watching her mother make bread on the weekends. But she was determined to make the perfect cake for her boss.

She went to the store, bought all the necessary ingredients, and set to work. An hour later, she was standing in her kitchen, covered in flour and frosting, looking at what was supposed to be a cake but resembled more of a culinary disaster.

The cake was lopsided, the frosting was lumpy, and the decorations looked like they had been applied by a toddler. Bethanni was horrified, but she knew she had to present it to Mr. Smith.

With trembling hands, she carried the cake into Mr. Smith's office. "I made this for you," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Mr. Smith raised an eyebrow. "Thank you, Bethanni," he said, taking the cake. He looked at it for a moment, then burst into laughter.

"Oh, Bethanni," he said, wiping tears of laughter from his eyes. "This is the most hilarious cake I've ever seen."

Bethanni was mortified. She had wanted to impress her boss, but she had done the exact opposite.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Smith," she said. "I wanted to make you something nice, but it didn't turn out quite the way I planned."

Mr. Smith shook his head. "No, no, Bethanni. This is perfect. It's the funniest cake I've ever seen. I'm going to keep it on my desk to remind me of you."

Bethanni laughed. She realized that even though the cake was a disaster, it had made her boss happy. And that was all that mattered.

From that day forward, Bethanni Kristancic became known as the intern who baked the infamous "hilarious cake." And while she never baked another cake for Mr. Smith, she did become one of his favorite interns.
