Bosses Day

Today is Boss's Day, a day to celebrate the people who make our work lives bearable, or at least give us someone to complain about. While some bosses may be deserving of our appreciation, others may not be so much. But hey, it's the thought that counts, right?

If you're lucky enough to have a boss who makes your work life a little bit easier, here are a few ways to show your appreciation on Bosses Day:

  • Send them a card or email. A simple thank you note can go a long way in showing your boss that you appreciate their support.
  • Get them a gift. A small gift, such as a gift certificate to their favorite store or a nice bottle of wine, can show your boss that you're thinking of them.
  • Take them out to lunch or dinner. This is a great way to show your boss that you're willing to go the extra mile.
  • Do something special for them around the office. This could include anything from cleaning their desk to organizing a team lunch.
  • Just be nice. Sometimes the best way to show your boss that you appreciate them is to simply be a good employee. Be respectful, work hard, and be positive.

And if you're one of those bosses who's not so deserving of appreciation, well, maybe this is your chance to turn things around. Start by being a little more understanding, supportive, and respectful of your employees. And who knows, maybe next year you'll be the one getting all the love on Bosses Day.

P.S. For those of you who are wondering, Bosses Day is observed on October 16th in the United States. So if you're planning on doing something special for your boss, be sure to mark it on your calendar.
