Boston injury report: Jayden Brown doubtful to return

Boston Celtics forward Jayden Brown is doubtful to return to tonight's game against the Golden State Warriors due to a left knee issue.

Brown was injured in the first quarter of the game after landing awkwardly on a dunk attempt. He immediately grabbed his left knee and was helped off the court by Celtics trainers.

The Celtics have not released any further information on Brown's injury, but he is expected to undergo an MRI tomorrow.

Brown is averaging 26.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game this season. He is a key player for the Celtics, who are currently third in the Eastern Conference.
In Brown's absence, the Celtics will likely start Grant Williams at power forward. Williams is a solid defender and shooter, but he is not as dynamic a scorer as Brown.
The Celtics are hoping that Brown's injury is not serious, but they will need to be prepared to play without him for an extended period of time.
Stay tuned for updates on Brown's injury as they become available.
