Breesha was too stunned to speak. She had never seen a dragon before, except in books.
"Don't be afraid," said Ignis. "I'm not going to hurt you."
Breesha slowly got to her feet. "What are you doing here?" she asked.
"I live in this forest," said Ignis. "I've been watching you play, and I think you're a very brave girl."
Breesha smiled. "Thank you," she said.
"Would you like to go for a ride on my back?" asked Ignis.
Breesha's eyes widened with excitement. "Yes, please!" she said.
Ignis lowered his head, and Breesha climbed onto his back. Ignis spread his wings and took off into the air.
Breesha laughed with joy as the wind rushed past her face. She had never felt so free before.
They flew over the forest, the mountains, and the sea. Breesha saw amazing things, like a pod of dolphins swimming in the ocean and a family of monkeys playing in the trees.
"This is the best day ever!" Breesha exclaimed.
Ignis smiled. "I'm glad you're having fun," he said.
After a while, they landed in a meadow filled with wildflowers. Breesha hopped off Ignis' back and thanked him for the ride.
"I have to go now," said Ignis. "But I'll never forget you, Breesha Tann."
"I'll never forget you either, Ignis," said Breesha.
Ignis spread his wings and flew back into the forest. Breesha watched him go, then turned and walked back to the village.
When she told her friends about her adventure, they didn't believe her at first. But Breesha knew that she had met a real dragon, and she would cherish the memory forever.
From that day on, Breesha Tann became known as the girl who rode the dragon. She was a brave and adventurous girl, and everyone in the village loved her.
