Brentleigh Wantz's Crazy Hair Day

Brentleigh Wantz woke up one morning with a strange feeling in her hair.

She ran to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. What the heck? she thought.
Brentleigh's hair was standing straight up on end, like she had just stuck her finger in an electrical socket. She tried to brush it, but it was no use. The brush just bounced off her head.

Lunchtime was the worst. Brentleigh usually sat with her friends, but they were all staring at her. She couldn't stand it anymore. She ran out of the cafeteria and hid in the bathroom.
She sat there crying, wondering what she had done to deserve this.
Suddenly, she heard a knock on the door. "Brentleigh? Are you okay?" It was her friend, Sarah.
Brentleigh opened the door and told Sarah what had happened. Sarah started laughing.
"Oh, Brentleigh," she said. "It's just your hair. It will go down eventually."
Brentleigh didn't believe her, but Sarah was right. The next morning, her hair was back to normal.
Brentleigh was so relieved. She went to school and everyone was back to normal. No one mentioned her hair, and she was able to go back to being her normal, boring self.
At least she had a funny story to tell.
