Brian Taylor




Brian Taylor is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Richmond and Collingwood in the Victorian Football League (VFL). He was a key member of Collingwood's premiership-winning team in 1990 and is considered one of the greatest players of his generation.

Taylor was born in Pinjarra, Western Australia, on April 10, 1962. He began his football career with the Pinjarra Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL). In 1980, he was recruited by Richmond and made his VFL debut in 1981. Taylor quickly established himself as a talented forward and was a key member of Richmond's premiership-winning team in 1982.

In 1986, Taylor was traded to Collingwood. He quickly became a fan favorite at Collingwood and was a key member of the Magpies' premiership-winning team in 1990. Taylor retired from football at the end of the 1990 season.

After his playing career, Taylor worked as a football commentator for Channel Seven. He is also a successful businessman and has his own range of wines.

Taylor is a respected figure in the Australian football community. He is a member of the Australian Football Hall of Fame and was named a Legend of the AFL in 2011.
