Brigada Eskwela: Helping the Students, Helping the Country

Brigada Eskwela (BrigEsk) is a nationwide initiative in the Philippines that aims to prepare public schools for the opening of classes each year. It involves various stakeholders such as teachers, parents, students, community members, and local government units. As a volunteer during the Brigada Eskwela, I had the opportunity to witness firsthand the positive impact it has on the students and the community.

One memorable experience I had during Brigada Eskwela was when we repainted the classrooms. The old paint was peeling and faded, making the rooms look dull and uninviting. Together with other volunteers, we sanded the walls, applied primer, and then painted them with bright and cheerful colors.
