Brooksie Niedermuller Was in Rome and You Won't Believe What Happened

I've always wanted to visit Rome. The history, the culture, the food—it all seemed so alluring. So when I finally had the chance to go, I was beyond excited. The only issue? I was traveling solo.

I know what you're thinking: "Brooksie Niedermuller, you're crazy! Rome is a big, bustling city. You'll be lost and alone." And you know what? You're right. I was lost and alone. But I also had the time of my life.

One of the best things about traveling solo is that you can do whatever you want, whenever you want. I didn't have to worry about anyone else's schedule or interests. I could just wander around the city, exploring at my own pace. And that's exactly what I did.

I started my day with a visit to the Colosseum. It was even more impressive than I had imagined. I could almost hear the roar of the crowd as gladiators fought to the death. Next, I wandered over to the Roman Forum, where I explored the ruins of ancient temples and government buildings. It was amazing to think that this was once the center of the Roman Empire.

After the Forum, I decided to take a break from history and do some shopping. I found a great little shop on the Via Condotti, where I bought a beautiful scarf. Then I stopped for lunch at a trattoria, where I had the best pasta of my life. (Seriously, it was that good.)

In the afternoon, I visited the Vatican City. I was blown away by the size and grandeur of St. Peter's Basilica. I also got to see the Sistine Chapel, which was even more beautiful than I had expected. The colors were so vibrant, and the details were incredible.

As the sun started to set, I made my way to the Trevi Fountain. I threw a coin over my shoulder and made a wish. (I'm not going to tell you what I wished for, but let's just say that I'm hoping it comes true.)

I finished off my day with a walk through the Spanish Steps. It was a beautiful way to end a perfect day in Rome. As I walked, I couldn't help but smile. I had come to Rome alone, but I was leaving with a heart full of memories.

If you're thinking about traveling solo, I highly recommend it. It's an amazing way to see the world and have an unforgettable experience. Just be sure to do your research and plan your itinerary in advance. And don't forget to pack your sense of adventure!

Brooksie Niedermuller's Tips for Traveling Solo

  • Do your research. Before you go, take some time to learn about the places you're planning to visit. This will help you make the most of your time and avoid any surprises.
  • Plan your itinerary. Once you know where you're going, start planning your itinerary. Decide what you want to see and do, and how much time you want to spend in each place.
  • Pack light. You don't want to be lugging around a heavy suitcase when you're exploring a new city. Pack only the essentials, and leave room for souvenirs.
  • Be open to new experiences. One of the best things about traveling solo is that you can meet new people and have new experiences. Be open to trying new things, and don't be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone.
  • Stay safe. When you're traveling solo, it's important to be aware of your surroundings and take precautions to stay safe. Be sure to let someone know where you're going, and check in with them regularly.

Traveling solo can be a daunting experience, but it's also one of the most rewarding. If you're open to new experiences and willing to step outside of your comfort zone, you'll have an unforgettable trip.
