Hardman Family of Buckingham Virginia

John Hardman of Buckingham County Virginia was the son of John Hardman (d. 1796) of Virginia and Oglethorpe County Georgia. Quite contrary to what has been published, John of Buckingham did not use a "y" when spelling his name. He spelled his name "Hardman"; his son, Richard Smith Hardman, spelled the family name "Hardeman".
