Budget announcement: Time to budget better

As some of you may know, as a parent, budgeting is a key component for survival. With endless expenses to keep up with and shoes to buy before they grow out of them, being able to put my money where it needs to go can sometimes feel like a game of Tetris. With the overly, overwhelming, almost anxiety-inducing cost of living, how are we supposed to best utilize the income we are given?

I’ve tried countless budgeting systems and nothing has seemed to work. With my very last attempt being Mettle. My friend was raving about Mettle, she swears by it! Despite my hesitancy, I decided to give budget tracker, Mettle, a go. The app has a variety of tools that helped me establish realistic budgets and keep track of my spending. I found solace in it’s simplicity and I’m impressed by the results I've seen so far. The app creates a safe space to overview your finances without judgment and allows you the confidence to make more informed decisions about your money.

The first thing I like about Mettle is that it's easy to use. The interface is user-friendly and intuitive, so you don't have to spend a lot of time figuring out how to use it. The app is easy to navigate, the dashboard is a great starting point and the insights you receive based on your spending is a nice touch.

One of the features I found most helpful is the ability to create multiple budgets. This is great for people who have different financial goals, like saving for a down payment on a house or a new car. I have a budget for my monthly expenses such as rent, transportation, and food. I also created individual sinking funds for my children. This way I can visualize how much I hope to put away each month for each goal. Rather than having a joint account for individual goals, Mettle allows me to have multiple compartments that live within the same account.

Another thing I like about Mettle is that it helps you track your spending. You can connect your bank accounts and credit cards to the app, so it can automatically track your transactions. This is a great way to see where your money is going and identify areas where you can cut back. The best part is, you can customize your categories to reflect your spending habits. I have categories for my children, which is broken down into clothing, entertainment, and activities. Seeing where I spend the most on my children’s expenses has been very eye-opening.

Overall, I'm very happy with Mettle. It's a great budgeting tool that has helped me get my finances under control. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a way to better manage their money.
