Cameron Smith: My Journey from the Backyard to the British Open

Growing up in Australia, I spent countless hours in my backyard, swinging a club and dreaming of playing golf at the highest level.

Little did I know that one day, I would be lifting the Claret Jug at the historic Royal St. George's.

In 2008, I turned professional with the goal of making my mark on the PGA Tour.

In 2013, I earned my first PGA Tour victory at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

Since then, I've gone on to win multiple tournaments, including the PGA Championship in 2020.

Competing against the world's best golfers has been an incredible experience.

The British Open:

Winning the British Open is the pinnacle of my career.

It ranks alongside the greatest achievements in Australian golf history.

To have my name etched on the Claret Jug is a dream come true.

What's Next:
