Camille Villar




Camille Villar is a Filipina politician who has served as the representative for Las Piñas' Lone District in the Philippine House of Representatives since 2013. She is a member of the Nacionalista Party.

Villar was born on September 23, 1968, in Manila, Philippines. She is the daughter of former Senate President Manny Villar and former First Lady Luisa Villar. She graduated from the University of the Philippines Diliman with a degree in Mass Communication.

Villar began her political career in 2007, when she was elected to the Las Piñas City Council. She served as a councilor for six years before being elected to the House of Representatives in 2013.

As a member of the House of Representatives, Villar has authored and co-authored several laws, including the Universal Health Care Act, the Free Tuition Law, and the Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education Act.

Villar is a strong advocate for women's rights and gender equality. She is the chair of the House Committee on Women and Gender Equality. She has also been a vocal supporter of the Reproductive Health Law.
