Short List of Capitalization Rules

When you use the typing input button in Voki, don't forget to copy and paste the rules.  Don't waste your time typing!  Voki will limit the number of words your avatar speaks, so start with the first five rules and go from there.

Here are just a few capitalization rules:

• 1. The first word of a sentence.

• 2.  The first word and all the words in titles of books, articles, works of art, etc., excluding short prepositions, conjunctions, and articles.

• 3. Names of the days of the week, months of the year.

• 4. Names of people.

• 5. All names of holidays.

• 6. All words in the names of specific organizations and agencies excluding prepositions, conjunctions, and articles.

• 7. Names of languages.

• 8. Names of definite sections of a country or the world.

• 9. Names of nationalities.

• 10. Names of religions and deities.
