Cathal Crotty




Irishman Cathal Crotty, is a hardworking self-employed man. He is determined to provide the best possible life for his family. Typically, during the week he works as a carpenter, starting before sunrise and finishing up after the sunset, and on the weekends he takes casual work as a videographer.

Cathal has been filming weddings for the last seven years. A couple of years ago, he decided to branch out and began offering hen party videos.

His unique style of filmmaking caught the eye of WeddingDates.ie, who featured Cathal's work on their website. This led him to be nominated in the "Wedding Videographer of the Year" category in the Irish Wedding Awards.

Cathal has earned a local reputation with advertisements in local magazines and newspapers. One local newspaper, The Echo, included him in the "Best of Cork" Wedding Supplement which gave him massive local recognition.

Cathal has won lots of awards for his work. He won the WeddingDates.ie Wedding Videographer of the Year for the Munster Region Award in 2019 and won again in 2022 for the All-Ireland Award.

A major turning point for Cathal reached the peak of his success when he received the title of "International Wedding Videographer of the Year" at the 2022 International Wedding Awards in Barcelona.

Not only did he win top awards, but in 2019 he was named as one of Ireland's Top 10 Wedding Videographers by Irish Wedding Venues and received a certificate of excellence from WeddingDates.ie for being one of Ireland's Top 50 Wedding Videographers for 2021.

Cathal has been featured in numerous publications including the Irish Independent and RSVP Magazine. Not only that, but he has also won many other awards such as The Wedding Industry Awards, The Irish Wedding Awards, The Irish Enterprise Awards, The European Enterprise Awards, and many more.

Cathal's work has also been recognized internationally, with a nomination in the Wedding Industry Experts (WIE) Awards in Las Vegas.

Although Cathal appreciates all of the recognition he's received, he never forgets his main objective, which is to preserve the memories of couples on one of the most important days of their lives. He takes great pride in his work and is a fantastic representation of the best that Ireland has to offer for wedding videography.
