Chee Hong Tat




Chee Hong Tat is a Singaporean politician who has served as Minister for Sustainability and the Environment since 2021. He is a member of the People's Action Party (PAP) and has been a Member of Parliament (MP) for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC since 2015.
Chee was born in Singapore in 1976. He attended Raffles Institution and the National University of Singapore, where he studied law. After graduating, he worked as a lawyer at Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP.
Chee entered politics in 2015, when he was elected as an MP for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC. He was appointed Senior Minister of State for Education and Manpower in 2017. In 2021, he was appointed Minister for Sustainability and the Environment.
As Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, Chee has been responsible for leading Singapore's efforts to combat climate change and protect the environment. He has introduced a number of policies aimed at reducing carbon emissions, promoting renewable energy, and improving air and water quality.
