BBC News presenter Clive Myrie has reassured viewers after they expressed concern about his 'droopy' eye during a live broadcast.
Myrie, 60, was hosting BBC One's News at Six on Monday 6 January when he appeared to have a swollen left eye.
Some viewers took to social media to express their concern, with one person saying they were "worried" about Myrie's health.
However, Myrie has since taken to Twitter to reassure viewers that he is "fine" and that he just has an eye infection.
"I'm fine, just an eye infection," Myrie tweeted.
Myrie's reassurance will come as a relief to viewers who were concerned about his health.
Myrie is a popular and respected news presenter who has been with the BBC for over 30 years.
He has covered some of the biggest stories in recent years, including the 2011 London riots and the 2015 Paris attacks.
Myrie is also known for his work as a documentary maker. In 2018, he presented a BBC documentary about the Windrush scandal.
Myrie's eye infection is not expected to have any long-term effects.
He is expected to make a full recovery and be back on our screens soon.
