Cloria Verjeiro, the Woman Who Couldn't Stop Talking!
Disclaimer: My name is Martha, and I am a friend of Cloria Verjeiro, and I have to say, she is one of the most talkative people I've ever met. But don't get me wrong, she's also one of the most interesting and funny people you'll ever meet. So, here's a story about the time Cloria couldn't stop talking...
Setting the Scene
It was a beautiful summer day, and Cloria and I were sitting on a bench in the park, enjoying the sunshine. We had been chatting for about an hour, and I was starting to feel a little overwhelmed by her endless chatter. But I didn't want to be rude, so I just kept nodding and smiling.
The Conversation that Never Ended
"So, Martha, have you heard about the new restaurant that just opened downtown?" Cloria asked.
"No, I haven't," I said. "What's it like?"
"Oh, it's amazing!" Cloria exclaimed. "They have the best pasta dishes, and the atmosphere is so cozy. You'll love it! I went there with my husband last night, and we had the most romantic dinner. The waiter was so attentive, and the food came out so quickly. We had the spaghetti with meatballs, and it was absolutely delicious. The meatballs were so tender, and the sauce was just the right amount of spicy. I wanted to lick my plate clean!"
I nodded and smiled politely. I've never been much of a talker myself, so I don't know what I would have done if Cloria hadn't stopped talking. But she didn't stop. She kept going on and on about the restaurant, the food, the waiter, and her husband, and I just sat there, trying to keep up with all of the information.
The Interruptus
Finally, I couldn't take it anymore. I had to interrupt her.
"Cloria," I said. "I'm sorry to interrupt, but I'm starting to feel a little overwhelmed. Can we talk about something else?"
Cloria looked at me with a surprised expression.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Martha," she said. "I didn't realize I was talking so much. I get excited when I talk about things I love."
"It's okay," I said. "I just need a little break."
Cloria smiled and nodded.
"No problem," she said. "What do you want to talk about?"
A Nice Chat
We ended up having a nice chat about other things, and I realized that Cloria is actually a very interesting and funny person. She's just a little bit too talkative for my taste. But I'm glad I got to know her better. She's a one-of-a-kind person, that's for sure.
The Moral of the Story
The moral of the story is, don't be afraid to interrupt someone if they're talking too much. It's okay to set boundaries, even with friends. Just be polite about it. And if you're the one who's talking too much, be aware of your audience and try to tone it down a bit. Not everyone is as talkative as Cloria Verjeiro!
