Once upon a time, there was a boy named Coe Schlingschroeder. He was a happy and curious boy, and he loved to play in the sunny woods near his home.
One day, Coe was playing in the woods when he came across a dark and mysterious cave. He was curious about what was inside, so he decided to go in.
As Coe walked deeper into the cave, it got darker and darker. He was starting to get scared, but he kept going. Finally, he came to a large chamber in the center of the cave.
In the middle of the chamber was a large, black shadow. Coe was terrified, but he couldn't move. The shadow was slowly approaching him, and Coe knew that if it touched him, he would be lost forever.
Just when the shadow was about to reach Coe, a bright light appeared in the cave. Coe looked up and saw a beautiful angel standing before him. The angel held out her hand to Coe, and he took it.
The angel led Coe out of the cave and back into the sunlight. Coe was so happy to be free, and he thanked the angel for saving him.
But when Coe looked down at his feet, he saw that something was missing. His shadow was gone!
Coe was heartbroken. He didn't know how he could live without his shadow. He went home and told his parents what had happened, and they were just as sad as he was.
The next day, Coe went back to the woods to look for his shadow. He searched everywhere, but he couldn't find it. He was starting to lose hope when he heard a voice.
"Hello, Coe Schlingschroeder," the voice said. "I have your shadow."
Coe looked up and saw a wise old man standing before him. The old man smiled and held out Coe's shadow. Coe was so happy to have it back, and he thanked the old man profusely.
"You're welcome, Coe Schlingschroeder," the old man said. "But remember, your shadow is a part of you. It's always with you, even when you can't see it."
Coe thought about what the old man said, and he realized that he was right. His shadow was a part of him, and it would always be with him, no matter what.
Coe Schlingschroeder went on to live a long and happy life. He never forgot the lesson that the old man had taught him, and he always remembered that his shadow was a part of him, even when he couldn't see it.
