Cold Pursuit Is A Mix Between Taken And Fargo Imported From Norway

Standart, even cliche title and the masculine profile of Liam Neeson in one more revenge story. It doesn't sound too good but here the director is Hans Petter Moland who shoot In Order of Disappearance during 2014.

The good news is Cold Pursuit does not give away to the original maybe mainly because the same director was in charge. If there are any disadvantages to watch the full movie this is because they appear in the original too - plot holes, some actors who make their characters look unreal.

The plot copies ideas from Coen Brothers' Fargo. In reality this is a black comedy in which one takes the bloodsheds with a smile and laughs at the funny scenes every few minutes.

Cold Pursuit is a movie in which the snow is everywhere, everyone wears a fur coat and the main character drives snowplow for the most part of the 2 hour runtime. After three series of Taken Liam Neeson plays worried action dad once again. This time he's not saving his kidnapped daughter but looking for revenge because his son was killed.

Cold Pursuit is another Hollywood remake based on European film (In Order of Disappearance) but unlike most remakes the director of the original Hans Petter Moland was chosen to direct this new film.

Cold Pursuit takes itself seriously and is unusual revenge movie. There is a lot of violence but actually there are only two scenes online that may upset the most sensitive viewers.

Nels Coxman is very important person in Kehoe because here the winter is long and without his snowplow the small town wouldn't have connection with civilization six months in a year. In one snowy night his son becomes a victim of a drug dealer. From now on Coxman takes on a warpath and he won't stop until he finds the drug lord.

If you haven't watched In Order of Disappearance yet you have to fix your mistake but don't let that change your mind about the Hollywood version. Don't pay much attention to the critics who are not big fans of this unpretentious but wonderful movie. The truth is Cold Pursuit could have been much better but it could have been much worse too.

If you love to watch action movies with a lot of dark humor and free of CGI this one is definitely a good choice.
